Personalized pint glass questions, answered

Are these pint glasses dishwasher safe?

Yes. Our sand-carved engraving is cut into the glass itself. It's permanent and won't fade, peel, or scratch off in the dishwasher. We still recommend a top-rack wash to preserve the glass body over years of use.

How long until my engraved pint glass ships?

Most personalized pint glasses ship within 3 to 5 business days. For wedding party orders or holiday rush, message us first and we'll confirm your timeline.

What's the difference between sand-carved and laser-engraved?

Sand-carving is a hand process. We mask each glass and blast the design into the surface, creating a frosted-white 3D depth you can feel with your fingernail. Laser engraving is a faster machine process that creates a shallower, flatter mark. We sand-carve every glass because it lasts decades and looks like real craftsmanship.

Can I order in bulk for a wedding party or corporate event?

Absolutely. For orders of 12 or more glasses, contact us before placing the order. We can confirm timeline, offer a quote, and make sure every glass has the right name and date.

What's the size of a Willow & Hive personalized pint glass?

Our pint glasses hold 16 oz of beer. They measure 5.75" tall by 3.3" wide at the rim, the classic pub-style proportions, slightly tapered.

Can I send a custom design instead of using one of yours?

For most of our standard designs, customers personalize with names, initials, or dates. For fully custom engraving like logos or original artwork, message us. We'll let you know what's possible and quote it.

The story of the engraved pint glass

What makes our pint glasses different

Every Willow & Hive personalized pint glass is sand-carved by hand in our York Springs, Pennsylvania studio. Sand-carving isn't the fastest engraving method, and it isn't the cheapest. But it's the only one that creates true 3D depth in the glass itself. You can feel the engraving with your fingernail. It won't fade after a hundred dishwasher cycles. And the frosted-white finish has a sculptural quality that mass-produced printed glassware simply can't match.

How to personalize a pint glass that becomes a keepsake

The best personalized gifts feel like they were made for one specific person. With a pint glass, that means thinking about what details matter to him: his initial in a heraldic shield, his last name on a vintage pub sign, the date of the wedding, his dog's name beside a breed silhouette. Our collection is built around those moments, and every design lets you add the names, initials, and dates that turn a beer glass into a piece of his story.

Picking the right pint glass for the occasion

For groomsmen and wedding parties: our Bowtie, Square Label, and Rustic Arrows designs put his name and the wedding date on the glass, keepsakes that outlast the bachelor party.

For Father's Day: the Dog Dad, Paw Print, and Tap Room designs hit a different note than the usual mug. “Dog dad” is one of the most-searched Father's Day terms for a reason.

For anniversaries and weddings: Paris Skyline (for the couple who traveled), Royal Shield (for the family name), and Rustic Arrows (for both names plus the wedding date) all carry the story.

For housewarmings and new homes: Tap Room turns the new family's last name into a vintage pub sign, and instantly makes the home bar feel earned.

About our York Springs studio

Every Willow & Hive pint glass is sand-carved by artisans in York Springs, Pennsylvania, a small town in Adams County where this kind of craft work still happens by hand. Each glass is hand-masked with a stencil of the chosen design, then carved with a fine abrasive blast. The mask comes off and the design stays, frosted-white, deep, and permanent. It's slower than the alternatives. We think it's worth it.
